# YouTube Player (Video) Ad Specs

## Video Recommendations

- **Ratio:** 16:9 (horizontal)
- **Maximum video length:** 30 seconds 
    - **Skippable:** 3 mins max
    - **Non-skippable:** 15 secs max
- **File type:** MPG, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 (recommended), MP4 or MOV
- **Maximum file size:** 4GB
- **Resolution:** 1920x1080

Requirements: 

- Must be uploaded to YouTube
- Must allow embedding
- Must be public or unlisted
- True streaming is not allowed

War Room Tip: 

- **Skippable** in-stream ads accept videos of any length, but we recommend using a video 30 seconds or shorter with the main message and brand/logo within the first 5 seconds.
- **Non-skippable** in-stream ads must be between 6-15 seconds or shorter.

#### Thumbnails

- **Resolution:** 1280 x 720 px (Recommended)
- A**spect Ratio:** 16:19
- **Format:** .JPG, .GIF or .PNG
- **Max File Size:** 2MB for videos; 10MB for podcasts

#### Companion Banner

- **Dimensions:** 300 x 60 (Recommended)
- **Max File Size:** 150KB
- **Formats:** JPEG, GIF, or PNG

#### Transcripts

- Please supply an SRT File (SubRip .srt file) for captions to be added to the video

Placement of overlays, call-to-actions, and buttons may vary based on the ad format, campaign type, and device screen.

Refer to the examples below to ensure key elements—such as your logo, product visuals, and supers—are positioned within the red safe zone. This helps prevent important content from being obscured by platform UI elements across different placements.
