Snapchat’s ad placements offer opportunities for brands to engage users through dynamic content and immersive experiences, designed to drive interaction at every touchpoint of the app.

Design Recommendations 

  • File type: .mp4, .mov, .jpg or png
  • Aspect ratio: 9:16
  • Resolution: 1080x1920
  • Video Length: 3-180 seconds
  • File Size
    • Video: 1 GB or less
    • Image: 5 MB or less

War Room Tip:

  • We recommend videos between 3-5 seconds. If your video spans less than 3 seconds the video will be looped.

Videos must be 1 GB or less and images must be 5 MB or less.


Text Recommendations

  • Brand Name: Up to 25 characters with spaces
  • Headline: Up to 34 characters with spaces

We recommend ad captions be 50 characters or less to avoid being truncated

  • Creatives must be approved for viewing by a 13+ (age) audience
  • A maximum of 4 lines can be displayed. If exceeding 4 lines, the text will be truncated by a ‘See More’ message.
